Objective
This virtual patient case is a simulation of an authentic clinical scenario in which you assume the role of a dentist and carry out an investigation, conduct an additional examination, if necessary, draw up a diagnosis and then formulate a treatment and care plan.
With this, you practice clinical reasoning skills and the application of your knowledge about primary teeth pulpotomy in pediatric dentistry. The central focus is on finding the balance between a detailed history and an extensive and acute examination and the minimal burden on the child patient.
Instruction
During the case, you are presented with a number of choices and you have to make decisions, for example in the form of open or closed questions. Answer the questions and use the buttons at the bottom of the screen to navigate through the consultation. In between, you see some short fragments of the interaction between the dentist and the patient. At the end of the case, a feedback form is automatically drawn up.
